Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL) is a joint venture company incorporated under companies Act, 1956 by Airports Authority of India (AAI) in association with Punjab Government through Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) and Haryana Government through Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) to develop operate and maintain Chandigarh International Airport which has come up with a new state of art International Airport at Mohali, Punjab. The New International Airport has been operationalized w.e.f. 19th October, 2015.
As per the Joint Venture Agreement between AAI, GMADA and HUDA, the equity contribution is in the ratio of 51.00%, 24.50% and 24.50% respectively.
